手机电子商务的未来: 移动应用vs原生应用
没有哪个市场能像智能手机领域那样发展得这么好。一旦这个趋势不减,在2011年就有半个欧洲的人都拥有这样一个多媒体装置。不仅仅是小型电脑、MP3播放器、照相机和导航系统这些个功能使它变得非凡地流行,还有它所谓的“应用”。一个完整的围绕这个领域的软件工业已经成型,每个星期能生产1100个左右的窗体部件。
什么是原生应用?
原生应用是一个设计好的用来在参考电脑环境(机器语言和操作系统)下运行的应用程序。原生应用常被用来和Java应用作对比,但前者并不产自于一个平台。原生应用也被用来和仿真应用类比,但它是为不同的平台所独创的。
通俗地讲,原生应用是一款为指定移动电话(经常被描绘成光芒四射的iPhone形象)所创建的应用。你能从总店(又经常被描绘成苹果的应用商店)买到或由总店配送,再安装到移动设备上,主屏会带有图标,而所下载的商店会管理程序的更新。
什么是移动应用?
移动应用是依靠类似网页的技术。这就意味着数据从一个包括了网络服务器的图形用户界面得来。从网页应用的公开标准看,它在任何智能手机上同等可用。然而,它们的功能意味着将比它们的WWW大哥少。其中一个原因是它们必须克服诸多挑战来实现功能:小屏幕,不同的屏幕规格(4 / 3, 16 / 9),使用你的手指,连接和信号干扰,或是浪费移动网络。
原生应用仍是最好的
也就是说,原生应用有无可厚非的优势(特别是对苹果而言):
- 终端用户现在可以很好地理解这个概念(关于商店—应用—手机关联)
- 企业当下可以更好地理解这个商业模式,因为它很简单
- 人们对应用的审核进程很有信心,所以对他们骗局或存在恶意软件/病毒通过应用程序传送到他们手机也很有信心。
- 你可以使用所有手机的功能和硬件(举个例子:照相,geo定位,制图加速,文件系统等等。)
- 应用软件的自动货币化—如果你的想法是生产一个可以靠卖出一百万份复件来赚钱的应用软件, 那么这是你唯一的选择。
The Future of Mobile Commerce: Mobile App vs Native App
There’s no other market is growing faster than Smartphone. If the trend continues, in 2011, half of the Europeans will have multimedia devices. Not only the union of mini-computer, mp3 player, camera and navigation system make this phone so incredibly popular, but also the so-called Apps. An entire software industry has settled around this area and produces about 1,100 widgets per week.
What is a Native App?
An application designed to run in the computer environment (machine language and OS) being referenced. The term is used to contrast a native application with an interpreted one such as a Java application that is not native to a single platform. The term may also be used to contrast a native application with an emulated application, which was originally written for a different platform.
Generally speaking, Native app is an application built for a specific mobile handset (they will be picturing a shiny iPhone), purchased from and delivered by a central store (they will be picturing Apple’s App Store), installed on the mobile device with an icon on the home screen with updates managed through the store from which it was downloaded.
What is a
Web apps are applications that rely on similar technologies such as web pages. This means that the data comes from a graphical user interface including a web server. In the open standards of the web apps, they are equally usable on any Smartphone. However, their functions mean less than their big brothers in the www. One reason is that they must function in spite of various challenges: small screen, varying screen dimensions (4 / 3, 16 / 9), use your fingers, connection and signal interference, or waste in the mobile network.
Native is Still Best
That being said, there is no denying some advantages that native apps (particularly in the case of Apple) have:
- End users currently better understand the concept (of the store – application – handset relationship)
- Businesses currently better understand the business model because it is quite simple
- People feel confident in the application vetting process and therefore have confidence they are not being scammed or having malware/viruses delivered to their handset via the app
- You can access all the handset features and hardware (eg: the camera, geo locations, graphics acceleration, file system and so on)
- Monetization of the app itself – if your idea is to produce an app which makes money just because it sells 1 million copies, then this is the only way you can go.
